Centrodera from Knowland Park, Oakland, CA - Centrodera spurca

Centrodera from Knowland Park, Oakland, CA - Centrodera spurca
Knowland Park, Oakland, Alameda County, California, USA
June 1, 2014
Size: 28 mm
One of several Centrodera individuals that were drawn to a UV light. Habitat was a dirt road between oak savannah and chamise chaparral. I don't exactly understand the line in Evans and Hogue of about depressed, recurved hairs on Centrodera spurca. These look depressed but... not that recurved? So could it be C. autumnata? Are there other features to look for to separate the two? Zoomable images and exact coordinates available at http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/713939.
