Praying Mantis - Tenodera angustipennis - male

Praying Mantis - Tenodera angustipennis - Male
Clarksville, Howard County, Maryland, USA
September 25, 2011
I had to severely crop this, for the site to accept it. The antennae and hind legs below the tarsi (did I get that right) have been cropped. Middle Patuxent Environmental Area, Clarksville, MD. It was perched on an interpretational sign, having apparently just dined on an eastern boxelder bug (Boisea trivittata), but that did not fit in the photo.
