We believe this is an adult female Falconina gracilis.The dorsal abdominal pattern is a good match for
this photo. The general appearance of the genitalia of our specimen as shown in photo 5 of 5 is similiar to
this photo, but the resolution of the BugGuide image is insufficient for a careful comparison.
According to this reference
(1), F. gracilis is a South American species that has been introduced into the Gulf states and seems to be associated with the imported fire ant, Solenopsis invicta in TX.
