Spider BG423 - Falconina gracilis - female

Spider BG423 - Falconina gracilis - Female
Gloster, Gloster Arboretum, Amite County, Mississippi, USA
September 1, 2006
Size: body length 7.4 mm.
We believe this is an adult female Falconina gracilis. The dorsal abdominal pattern is a good match for this photo. The general appearance of the genitalia of our specimen as shown in photo 5 of 5 is similiar to this photo, but the resolution of the BugGuide image is insufficient for a careful comparison.
According to this reference (1), F. gracilis is a South American species that has been introduced into the Gulf states and seems to be associated with the imported fire ant, Solenopsis invicta in TX.
Our photos are of a specimen collected at night by Zack Lemann, Staff Entomologist at the Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans LA, and kindly loaned to us for photography.
Confirmation/correction/comment appreciated. If confirmed, photos will be moved to species page.

Eye problem
Thanks Jeff, I honestly didn't see your fine closeup photo. I can't imagine how I overlooked it. I downloaded the full ventral view, tried to increase the resolution in Photoshop, and struggled to make comparisions. Comparision of our photo with your closeup is pretty conclusive.
