Hairy-backed Girdled Springtail - Orchesella cincta

Hairy-backed Girdled Springtail - Orchesella cincta
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
January 20, 2007
Size: 6mm long
Found on my cherry tree. This is by far the biggest one that I have seen, so far.

An elderly ;-)
Orchesella cincta becomes almost completely black in its old age, except for its white belt(s).
