Reddish Mite

Reddish Mite
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
January 20, 2007
Size: 1.5mm or a tiny bit less
This one looked a lot like this one:
I had trouble getting this one in focus, but it was not velvet-looking, in any way. It didn't move particularly fast, either. I would have thought it was one of the Globular springtails that were in the area, except the shape was wrong. I found this under a board in my garden.
