I thought this was just a honeybee, but the face, antennae, and wings look wrong. Is it a fly of some type? - Copestylum satur - female

Inside the Grand Canyon on the Tonto Plateau, Coconino County, Arizona, USA
April 27, 2008
Size: 3/4"
My nephew took this picture on a Grand Canyon hike in 2008 and recently sent it to me. I thought it was just a bee...........but now I'm not sure.

Moved
Moved from Copestylum.

location data needs correction: text in a wrong field, reads...
"Grand Canyon National Park County..."

Moved
Moved from Syrphid Flies.

Ken's right (as usual) - Copestylum. Note the conical face and wing veination. Sadly there are 35 species, so it may take a while to get it to species...

Cropped and moved for expert attention.
Moved from ID Request.

Copestylum, perhaps?

Genus?
I suspected it might be some type of syrphid, can you or anyone get it at least to genus?

I added a guess to my comment :)
Others will confirm or correct.
