My new smallest mite image
Merrimack, Hilsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
Size: 0.22mm & 0.5mm
Collected Jan. 12, 2007 from conk taken from log Dec. 9, 2006. This immature mite (lower right) is on its back, displaying only six legs. Another set of legs should form for a future instar.
