Chinese Mantis - Tenodera

Chinese Mantis - Tenodera
Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, USA
Size: 3 inches approx
This mantis is in my house-I'm surprised it has lived this long! It hatched in July but didn't reach maturity until late October.

Please leave the date off of in-captivity images
I'm assuming a Chinese Mantis would be very unusual outdoors in your area this time of year- but that's the impression one would get from looking at the Data tab for the species.

You can always document the date in the Comments section where the automated mapping won't see it.

Oh okay I see what you mean.
Oh okay I see what you mean. Sorry I just thought the date of the photo was what was needed. (and yes it would be unusual to find one outdoors right now)

I don't know what automated mapping is, sorry if messed that up.

Automated mapping
Click on the Data tab, and you'll see what I'm talking about. There's an automatic program that gathers values from the date and state fields and uses it draw a map and a graph when you click the Data tab.

Oh Thanks ^__^ I wonder how
Oh Thanks ^__^ I wondered how you guys knew all that.
