Moth at black light #1 - Pero macdunnoughi
Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, USA
April 26, 2014
This moth was found by black light insect trapping at the Earth Day Night Tour for Families at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station. Any information will be greatly appreciated!

ID confirmed as Pero macdunnoughi by Robert Martin at Butterflies and Moths of North America.

(The photo looks a little funny because it was made by combining the in-focus bits from two photos. Unfortunately, quite a bit of the moth was not in focus in either of the photos. I am still trying to figure out how to take photos of insects at night with the flash.)

Moved
Moved from Moths. Although this is not a great photo, I'm moving it to the species for now as there are so few photos of this species. Please feel free to frass if at any point it seems no longer useful for the guide.
