Burrowing bugs
These are a pair of Sehirus cinctus, family Cydnidae. This is an atypical genus in that they do not have any body modifications for subterranean life, and spend most of their time above ground. There must be more images, because a Google search had entries for bugguide on the second page of results! Negro bugs are much smaller, and the scutellum covers the wings. Here you can see the reflective wing membrane. Nice image.
