Possible Aellopos species? Ragged wings, but body still intact. Day flier.

2626 - Hymenoclea palmii (Sesiidae)
... known at least from western TX, AZ and Baja CA. The host plant is reported to be Hymenoclea monogyra or Burro Bush (Asteraceae, Compositae), and the moth is probably found where the plant is found. The moth larvae are root borers.
