What sp. of syrphidae? - Temnostoma barberi
Woodland edge/isolated Prairie near Linn Mar High School; Marion, Linn County, Iowa, USA

Also found the species of wasp it appeared to be mimicking at this location. Very convincing mimicry.

Temnostoma barberi a true one yay!
We see black setae on the 4&5 tergite and you can clearly see the faint pollinose fasciae above the scutellum.
