Dung beetle - Aphodius distinctus

Dung beetle - Aphodius distinctus
Berrien County, Michigan, USA
October 8, 2006
Size: ~ 5.5 mm
Another specimen that I think is Aphodius distinctus. Seems to have wide variation in elytral coloration.

Moved from Aphodius.

The only similar looking sp., which I don't believe has been recorded from MI is A. serval.
