Antheraea oculea - male

Antheraea oculea - Male
Madera Canyon, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
July 22, 2006

All-Leps now has this as a a separate sp.
instead of a sub-species of Polyphemus, so I've moved this to a new guide page.

not according to the list
here, which is the "North American Checklist with Synonymies" page at All-Leps, showing oculea as one of 3 subspecies of polyphemus.
And their plain North American Checklist (simple family list) here shows polyphemus as the only species of Antheraea.

You're right, Robin
have they revised the list since then? I don't think I would have misread it back in February but I can't honestly remember - I should have put a link in my comment above.
