Sphenophorus minimus Hart, female
Moved from Billbugs. ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks John.

A tough call between this and S. parvulus, but I think it fits S. minimus better. I didn't see any mites attached but there are two seed-like objects which may be what is stuck to its end.

can't believe this pronotum... minimus looks similar
...but not a perfect match
variability of these guys is sometimes off the charts, tho

Moved from Snout and Bark Beetles.

I thought it was pretty nifty
had some sort of parasite stuck to its rear.

yeah i'm so looking forward to Brad's verdict
the parasite will likely turn out to be a phoretic mite
