Horned Passalus in Tunnel - Odontotaenius disjunctus
Durham County, North Carolina, USA
January 5, 2005
I turned over several old logs in my back yard, and many were riddled with tunnels of this species. One individual was not too shy, and I was able to get a photo of it in its tunnel. Minimum width of the tunnel is just over 1 cm.
