Large Green Red Legged Blue Eyed Grasshopper? - Schistocerca shoshone - Female

Size: 3" from head to tail
Saved this large grasshopper type insect from my cats yesterday afternoon. I have never seen this large a grasshopper and cannot find a comparable picture in online bug databases. Distinctive red back legs and beautiful blue eyes. Was quite calm in my hands while I relocated to a cat-free zone.
