European Skipper - Thymelicus lineola

European Skipper - Thymelicus lineola
London, Ontario, Canada
June 14, 2004
This is a panned shot of a skipper carrying a stick as it zoomed past me. Just kidding -- the motion blur is simply due to the fact that I was flying along with the skipper about 6 feet off the ground.
Enough! Silence! (I don't know what caused the blur)
European Skippers were introduced to North America around 1910 near London, and are by far the most abundant butterfly in our area.
