Numbers

3 genera in our area (Traginops, Neoalticomerus, Odinia); 65 spp. in 14 genera total(1)

Identification

nearctic odiniids have patterned wings, 2 reclinate pairs and 1 inclinate pair of frontoorbital setae.

Habitat

Adults often found on sap or fungi. Larvae associated with dying trees.
