Swannanoa near Shope Creek, Buncombe County, North Carolina, USA
April 10, 2014
Size: about 1cm
I was thinking it might be a Gratiana sp. or related tortoise beetle but I do not know of any that have the blue/purple iridescences. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts.

Moved tentatively; nice bug, will seek confirmation
