Diogmites
This Louisiana shot by Ronald (please go visit his website) stopped my breath. I told him that I shoot alot of robbers but his several Diogmites shots made me want to weap.

This is likely Diogmites properans from the abdomen and the partial view of the dorsal thorax. Location helps as well. These are magnificent flies. Ronald's shot does this one justice.

I am totally guessing here, but it does look similar to these shots here on the site...
