Acmaeodera - Acmaeodera tenebricosa

Acmaeodera - Acmaeodera tenebricosa
Mount Pinos Road, elev. ~1830 m elevation, Los Angeles County, California, USA
July 24, 2007
Size: ~ 9 mm
Visiting Malacothamnus fremontii. I think the mallow pollen grains can easily distinguished from the paler spots on the otherwise black elytra.
Would appreciate help with finding a species, or at least a candidate.
