If I'm not mistaken, Gloucest
If I'm not mistaken, Gloucester Pt. would have to be on or near Chesapeake Bay, and the only xystodesmid that would be expected over there, that far east, is Pleuroloma flavipes. The other comment is quite correct, Motyxia and Xystocheir are strictly in California and nowhere near Virginia.

Thanks for the identification. I don't have knowledge to id bugs. The color of this species is so variable.

Xystodesmidae
I'm pretty sure both Motyxia and Xystocheir are found only in California or the West.
I believe it is in the Family Xystodesmidae, another may be able to narrow down.
