Scudderia? - Amblycorypha

Scudderia? - Amblycorypha
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
May 22, 2006

Dunno what it was...
I found a insect in my home that looked like a grasshopper, lights yellowish green, but has a bowed butt that is longer and thinner..and really long antennae. I am not sure what it was, but I didn't get a chance to get a pic of it...I am wondering what you think it may have been...it crawled all over my hands...

No.
Nice shot of a female (nymph) of Amblycorypha sp, though:-) Shape of ovipositor differs markedly from Scudderia, and the head is smaller than in Scudderia as well. Very subtle differences to be sure, though.
