Buck Moth - Hemileuca maia

Buck Moth - Hemileuca maia
Myles Standish State Forest, S. Carver, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA
July 26, 2014

Moved
Moved from Hemileuca.

More likely H. maia due to this being Myles Standish (the species is really quite common there), and according to Mike Nelson who knows more than anybody which moths are found in the state forest, H. lucina is not present at this location.

These are probably H. maia too: http://bugguide.net/node/view/20016 due to the host plant.
