Orbweaver Spider Identification - Larinioides patagiatus

Orbweaver Spider Identification - Larinioides patagiatus
Lac La Belle, Keweenaw County, Michigan, USA
July 21, 2014
I noticed this beautiful orbweaver spider at 1:30 p.m. It was hanging on some sedges. The sedges were present, but the water had dried up.
I took a few pictures of the spider and it didn't react at all. I finally figured it was probably paralyzed by a spider wasp. A few minutes
later, the spider wasp flew to the spider. I felt bad for the spider because I knew what was in store for it. It was a boreal habitat and
was near some cliffs where a pair of Peregrine Falcons were nesting. The location is in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake
Superior. I know I shouldn't interfere with Nature, but if I had taken the spider would it have recovered from its' paralyses? Thank you.

Moved for the experts
Moved from True Spiders. I've moved your Larinioides to the location where it is most likely to get narrowed further.
