Camponotus sayi - Camponotus decipiens

Camponotus sayi - Camponotus decipiens
Victoria, Victoria County, Texas, USA
July 29, 2014
Camponotus?
Found it under the bark of a tree. A small area where the bark was easy to remove, less a foot from the ground. Maybe an old injury to the base of the tree.
I saw few ants like this. Some smaller, some bigger but this from photo above was close in size of the biggest. The smallest was around/less 2/3 of the biggest. All the ants showed similar, as far as I could see them by naked eye (in a fact with glasses).
I tried to measure it, but the ant moving continuously and I'm not sure on the measurement result: 7mm.
