Tiny brown beetle, ~2 mm long (scale in 2nd photo is in millimeters). Appeared in my basement.

genus Cryptophagus (prominent anteriour edges of pronotum, and angulation in middle of it). May live on mould on wallpaper - but on other rotting stuff as well.

The common name for these beetles is Silken Fungus Beetles. They may appear in grains that have already been spoiled by moisture.
