Brown Winter Grasshopper?
The profile shot you added definitely helps. I'm not a expert on Orthopterans, but following Ron's lead, it seems your specimen looks very similar to, and may in fact be, a Brown Winter Grasshopper, Amblytropidia mysteca. See here in the guide for comparison.

Good view of inside back leg
That should help with ID. A face shot would, too. Try to get a profile next time.

I'm not good with these, but think it's some sort of slant-faced grasshopper.

Generally speaking, would you find "what to shoot" info useful? I may do some blurbs on what I know - bees, flies, dragonflies for starters. (I'm compiling material now.)
