Wasp? - Gonatopus - female

Wasp? - Gonatopus - Female
Allison Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA
August 4, 2014
Size: 5mm
Very ant-like but I'm guessing wasp since I also found a more wasp-like insect with the same odd claw on the forelegs.

Gonatopus sp., female
Moved from Gonatopodinae. ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks John.

Seems to key to G. harpax (Krombein) using Olmi 1984. Going to leave at genus level until I can compare against additional specimens.

Voucher specimen deposited in TAMUIC

I'll keep an eye out for them
I wonder if it's the same as this one from Marie Schmidt, apparantly reared from a leafhopper -

Thanks for the ID's Brad!

Could be the same
Identification seems to rely heavily on relative lengths of front tarsi and the microstructure of the modified front claw (shape, setal pattern, etc.).
