Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010) listed 123 species of the genus
Schinia in America north of Mexico.

Powell & Opler (2009) listed the forewing length 10-12 mm.
(3)Identification
Adult: forewing light brownish-yellow with broad pale AM and PM lines; AM line almost straight, PM line gently sinuous; reddish line or shading often present in subterminal area and sometimes in median area; hindwing gray with variably intense to faint reddish tint (sometimes lacking).
Range
Powell & Opler (2009) listed the range to include California to western Texas, north to Colorado and Nevada .

The flight period appears to be March to September.
(4)Food
Hardwick (1972) reported the larvae feed on the flowers of
laxflower (
Baileya pauciradiata) and
desert marigold (
Baileya multiradiata).

Schinia biundulata has the forewing AM line more curved near the costa, and the hindwing is gray without a reddish tint.
