Tobacco budworm moth (Heliothis virescens), I believe - Chloridea virescens

Tobacco budworm moth (Heliothis virescens), I believe - Chloridea virescens
Fremont, Alameda County, California, USA
July 21, 2014
Size: 0.6 in
These Tobacco budworm moths (Heliothis virescens) were grown from caterpillars that were eating my Serpentine Columbine (Aquilegia eximia). I captured several and reared them to determine what they were. They would crawl out to the flowers and nearly exclusively eat them. I identified it first using the book Integrated Pest Management for Tomatoes and then checked further on the interwebs.
