In 1950s northeast Ohio, these were potato bugs. I'd guess there are lots of regional names. Which are we using here?

I like pillbug
My mother calls them sow-boys.

 
Well, that's a new one
We did have sow bugs, tho. How about Armadillidium vulgare? Naw, the kids would hate it.
