Checkered White - Pontia protodice - female

Checkered White - Pontia protodice - Female
Seminole, Pinellas County, Florida, USA
March 8, 2007
Size: 2 1/4"
Have had a few warm days lately and this little guy was flitting around some Shepard's Needles. I think it's a Checkered White, but looking at the Guide Page, it's not that easy to tell.
Will wait for input before moving it to the proper page.
Thanks in advance.

Looks good
Looks good to me. Everything matches a Checkered White, Pontia protodice .

Good enough for me
I think it looks good too. Some of the images on the Guide page are a little questionable though.
Thanks for your input. I'll move this to the appropriate page.

Seem okay
From what I can tell, all the images in the guide for this species seem fine. There are some good images showing the variability of the black patches. Females tend to have much more dark patches than males, although in early spring broods both sexes can display more dark patches. Nice photo by the way.

Thanks
I appreciate your comments and help.
