Swarming Bees - Apis mellifera

Swarming Bees - Apis mellifera
Norris City, White County, Illinois, USA
April 20, 2006
They are still tightly grouped together during this picture from 1.04 p.m. on the third day. Due to weather conditions, I figured they were waiting for it to clear before they moved on. By the next morning, they had gone. All total, they had been in the same spot for roughly 72 hours, spread out over four different days.
