These are day-fliers and I've encountered them down in South Florida frequently.

Mating moths
Beautiful! Can you tell the sexes apart? Both have feathered antenae, but the one on top seems to have a wider abdomen and may be slightly less feathery antenae. Could that one be the female?

 
I can't tell...
...but I would agree with you that the female is the larger one...
