Sagebrush Sponge Galls - Rhopalomyia pomum

Size: >2 inches
Saw several large galls on Sagebrush. Plant was surrounded by wild blackberries, milkweed, thistles, and golden currants. Broke open a small gall - spongy and light colored with no obvious midges.
