Insect eggs on pond lily leaf - Donacia

Insect eggs on pond lily leaf - Donacia
Tobermory, Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada
August 20, 2014
These insect eggs could be found on the underside of a number of yellow pond lily (Nuphar sp.) leaves. In all cases the insect had bored a hole in the leaf and deposited the eggs on the underside, around the periphery of the hole.

I thought that sounded familiar. Perfectly matches the description of Donacia leaf beetle eggs on p. 9 of (1).
