Cicada - Neotibicen tibicen - female

Cicada - Neotibicen tibicen - Female
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
August 27, 2014
9 pm. Two weeks ago I posted a Southern Swamp Cicada that I found at the same spot; this one looks slightly different, so I hope it's a different species.

Many thanks ...
... for the ID and the additional info!

you are welcome
Thanks for posting cicadas from Leon Co., FL

Should you come across any good specimens (recently dead or dying), please keep me in mind. I am very interested and keep a large reference collection of cicadas from across the eastern USA.

Tibicen tibicen australis
Female Southern Swamp Cicada
The bronze-colored dusting/coating suggests this cicada emerged several hours before; this dusting is often referred to as "teneral pruinosity."
