Giant Swallowtail Chrysalis? - Papilio cresphontes

Giant Swallowtail Chrysalis? - Papilio cresphontes
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
March 18, 2007
Size: About 1 1/4" in length
Found this chrysalis today on a small lime tree. There was evidence that the caterpillar had eaten nearby leaves. I know that the caterpillars of Papilio cresphontes, orange dogs, feed on citrus leaves, so that is my best guess for this one. It also matches the images I have found on the net.
