Could be Euxoa comosa
I got one here which was very similar, which I sent into BOLD:
Had somewhat mixed results from BOLD,but Lars Crabo confirmed it as Euxoa comosa. He said that it's often difficult to distinguish different Euxoa by COI sequencing. It's quite a varable species, but Lars also noted that the dark ochre in the spots and the dark median band are frequently seen characteristics for comosa.

I think you have it. Clearly a really variable species. Reading the description at
PNW Moths
I see that is at least twice as long as other descriptions I have read! And here I thought that the colours would make it easy to get with the interactive key!

Yes,
I wouldn't have had a chance on getting it on my own from photos on line! I find a lot of Euxoas really tricky.
