to me it looks more like Elophila tinealis than obliteralis.

Going out on a limb
I suspect that the moth didn't really look as black-and white as it does on the image. Considering this, it might be 4755
Elophila obliteralis
. Size is about right.

Maybe
it looked mostly black with just a bit of white. Also had 4755 Elophila obliteralis nearby and this fellow was noticeably smaller.
