Identification
This species is closely related to C. fenestratus , and resembles that species superficially. C. collini has a shiny, sulcate scutellum, and is smaller than fenestratus. Both species have patterned (heavily infuscated) wings, and the second antennal segment is elongated. (from Hall & Evenhuis; see reference below)
Range
Restricted to the coastal mountains of the central portion of California, in chaparral.
