Robber Fly with prey - Stichopogon trifasciatus

Robber Fly with prey - Stichopogon trifasciatus
Jupiter Ridge Natural Area, Florida, USA
June 25, 2004
Looking at Giff Beaton's site, this could be a species of Stichopogon, perhaps S. trifasciatus. It appears to be eating a species of Bee Fly that I found frequently in this area.

Stich
This is indeed another Stichopogon trifasciatus and can be added to that species page. Nice fly kill.
