Brachiacantha dentipes - male

Brachiacantha dentipes - Male
Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve, Moore County, North Carolina, USA
March 18, 2007
Size: 4.8 mm
Shows the spur on the front left tibia, distinctive for the genus, I believe. There is also a groove on the tibia, visible here, and I think this is also a character for the genus. In addition, I believe this shows the arcuate margin of the tibia, distinctive for this species--see discussion under image of head.
