Hydraecia medialis
I guess this must be Hydraecia medialis, based on
location
. Hydraecia obliqua is further west.

Bob, this pretty moth bothered me so I went looking. It seems to me it should be among the Amphipyrinae so I checked the spread plates. The closest I could come to a possibility was 9512 – Hydraecia obliqua but I did not go to the Pacific Northwest Moths to look further. See what you think. At least it is supposed to be in Colorado.
Now I am thinking maybe
. Have asked Libby Avis to look at this one. She will at least know your species suggestion.
