Salticus scenicus juvenile? - Salticus scenicus

Salticus scenicus juvenile? - Salticus scenicus
Logy Bay, Northeast Avalon, Newfoundland/Labrador, Canada
March 23, 2007
Size: 6mm
I'm pretty sure this is a Salticus scenicus. Is it a juvenile? This is the first 'bug' that has showed up this spring. There is still snow on the ground outside. This spider was crawling on our carpet. It was jumping like crazy.

Definitely Salticus scenicus
It's definitely Salticus scenicus.

I've never raised any, but if I had to guess I would say that it's a subadult male and not a juvenile. The palps look more developed than in the younger ones I've photographed.

Thanks
Thank you for the confirmation. I've moved the images to the Salticus scenicus page.
