Jumping Spider - Naphrys pulex

Jumping Spider - Naphrys pulex
Guelph, Wellington, Ontario, Canada
March 23, 2007
On a large tree trunk, quite well-camouflaged while bathing in the sun. Its running for cover gave its position away. Otherwise, I would have missed this spider. I had to play a bit of hide-and-seek with this jumper as it circled over and under the same flake of bark upon which it is perching in this photograph.
