myrmecomorphic Salticid - Synageles

myrmecomorphic Salticid - Synageles
Pasadena, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
March 25, 2007
Size: ~2mm
Found at the base of one of my trees (Ailanthus sp). I had thought it was an unusual ant until I viewed it on the computer. It was quick and didn't stop moving so these are the best images I could get.

Moved
Moved from Peckhamia.

It
looks like a Peckhamia, but not certain.

Thank you!
I am kind of excited to have come across this. Have read some about them, but never thought I would ever find one. Not that I knew what I was really looking, at the time.
