Harrying honeybees...
This was pretty late in the day, and the attacks were basically just landing on top of them. When they are more fired up I've seen them hurl themselves at high speed and strike abdomen first, bringing their spikes to bare.
Side note. These were encountered about 4 blocks away from my initial photos of a female A. manicatum a few days ago.
